Sewing and Garment Construction Classes in London

Our short Garment Construction courses are the perfect follow on to our popular Learn To Sew courses, and great for those with basic sewing skills who are looking to develop their skills and start making garments from commercial patterns. We run these classes in the daytime, evenings and at weekends in short courses.

Starting with simple items for Beginner’s and moving onto more Intermediate styles, you can make a wide variety of garments in a fun and social atmosphere. These courses cover a range of different garments including  skirts, dresses, shirts and t-shirts and are all taught by highly experienced tutors with industry experience. These courses cover a range of techniques, great for both those looking to make clothes for themselves, friends and family. For those looking to make garments professionally we also run Professional Garment Construction courses.

Clothing Alterations And Customising
A great way to save money and prolong the life of your clothing. Learn how to how to take up or let down hems to lengthen or shorten a garment and how let out or take in seams to fit.

How to Sew Stretch Fabrics and Make T-Shirts / Leggings
This workshop is aimed at those with intermediate level sewing skills – ideally you have taken our Learn To Sew course, and made at least one garment before. The T-shirt is a classic garment that will never go out of fashion, and this is a great garment to both practice your sewing skills and learn new ones, such as beginning to use the overlocker.
