Intermediate Pattern Cutting - Pattern Grading Workshop in London

Pattern Cutting

The purpose of pattern grading is to proportionally increase or decrease the size of a pattern, while maintaining shape, fit, balance, and scale of style details.

To properly fit a pattern to a range of sizes, each pattern piece needed to be graded, or systematically increased or decreased.

Using a standard size 12 bodice front, back and sleeve you will learn to grade it up for larger sizes and grade it down for smaller sizes to create a set of sizes.

You will need to have completed the Bodice or Skirt Introductory course or workshop or have previous beginner’s level pattern cutting skills to enrol on this course.
