Fashion Antidote is the brain child of SUSAN BACKHOUSE an acclaimed fashion designer, consultant, retailer and business woman with extensive experience in education as a university lecturer, tutor and course manager who has “been there done that”.
Susan ran her own highly successful label produced fashion collections which sold in major stores and boutiques around the world including Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Topshop in London and Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s in New York as well as through her own central London retail outlet. Her designs were featured in magazines and media internationally. Her experience in the fashion industry covers sourcing, designing, manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing, marketing, sales and business.
She has many years of teaching experience having worked at numerous colleges and universities as a Senior Lecturer and Course Manager. Her broad experience within the Fashion Industry and in Education has given her the knowledge and skills, inspiration and incentive to set up Fashion Antidote.
Other members of the team come from a wide range of fashion backgrounds, are highly trained individuals and retain links within the industry. |
